David T. Pfund is the firm’s founding and managing partner where his litigation practice includes the handling of matters involving Title 59 Claims against Governmental entities as well as claims involving, personal injury, professional liability, employment law, automobile negligence, products liability, land use, municipal law, constitutional law and premises liability. Mr. Pfund has over 26 years experience practicing law. His experience includes all aspect of litigation, including motion practice, trial and appellate work. He also has served as an arbitrator on numerous matters.
 

Prior to founding Pfund McDonnell, PC in 2010, Mr. Pfund was managing partner of Reiseman, Rosenberg & Pfund, LLC as well as a partner with the firm of Harwood Lloyd, LLC. He served as Law Clerk for the Honorable Naomi G. Eichen, J.S.C. from 1991-1992. Mr. Pfund's extensive trial experience and diverse litigation practice uniquely qualifies him to advise and handle all types of serious and complex litigation.
 

In addition to his legal experience, Mr. Pfund has extensive civic experience. In 2002, he was elected as a Councilman for the Village of Ridgewood and served as Mayor of the Village of Ridgewood from 2004-2010. Mr. Pfund has served as a member of the Village of Ridgewood's Planning Board and Board of Adjustment (Vice-Chairman), member of the Ridgewood Public Library's Board of Trustees, and Village of Ridgewood's Sports Council Committee. He additionally served on the Board of the Ridgewood YMCA and the Board of Ridgewood Junior Football. In 2012, Mr. Pfund was appointed as Municipal Judge for the Village of Ridgewood.
 

Mr. Pfund was a member of the Justice Morris Pashmann American Inn of Court and is presently a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and Bergen County Bar Association.
 

Mr. Pfund has lectured to police personnel through the Police Chief's Association, and has lectured at the League of Municipalities on topics which include Title 59 claims against municipalities. He currently lectures to various municipalities on employment litigation/Civil Rights.
 

Mr. Pfund is licensed to practice law in New Jersey State Courts, New York State Courts, and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, Southern District of New York,  Eastern District of New York and Northern District of New York.
 

Mr Pfund is a 1988 graduate of Muhlenberg College where he received his B.A. majoring in Economics and Philosophy. He graduated from New York Law School in 1991.
